"My time at Delco Park"

Today, we journeyed 5.8 miles to Delco Park. There we met, author, Rob E. Boley. He explained to us how nature writing and other forms of writing can actually be simple and enjoyable. First, he directed us to read small articles and pick three words. After you have your special three, we then had to make a haiku, poem that follows the pattern of 5-7-5 syllable pattern. My three words were: woodland, junctured, and perserved. With those words I created this haiku: Woodland is a land-Junctured with the clouds and sky-Perserved by the trees. Then he wanted us to take the excercise a step father. This time Mr. Boley wanted us to pick a sentence with 10 words and create a form of dialouge. My orginal sentece from the article was: "Stay tuned for more ininformation in the upcoming winter newsletter.” From that sentence, I created this dialogue:

“Hey Jeff! What you doin?”exclaimed Henry

“Tuning my guitar for more bass. I’m getting ready for the upcoming Winter Jam,” replied Jeff

“Really, that’s awesome bro. You should get me autograph from the band Newsletter.”

“Stay at the end of the performance then because they are giving out free autographs and new information on their next gigs.”

“Sweet! I’m in. I’ll see you at 8:00.

Overall, the day was quite reflective and beautiful!
